1. Eligibility
You must be at least 12 years old to use NextStar. Users aged 12–17 require the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on their behalf. By creating an account you confirm you meet this age requirement.
2. Your Account
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to post illegal content, harass other users, attempt unauthorised access, scrape the platform automatically, or engage in commercial solicitation without our permission. You also agree not to attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or extract harmful content from any AI feature within the app.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant NextStar a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display that content to operate and improve the service.
5. AI Features & Sora
Sora is an AI language coach powered by Grok (xAI). During practice sessions, your speech transcripts and conversation history are sent to xAI's servers to generate coaching responses. AI feedback is for educational purposes only and may not be perfectly accurate — do not rely on it as a substitute for professional translation in critical contexts. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. xAI's processing of your data is governed by xAI's Privacy Policy.
6. Subscriptions & Payments
Subscription fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
7. Intellectual Property
All platform content, design elements, trademarks, and software are the exclusive property of NextStar and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NextStar's total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notice or email. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
